THE SOULJOURNER’S TRUTH

The Souljourner’s Truth reflects the basic spiritual philosophy at the heart of Souljourner Truth™—our perspective on who we are, how we find our way, and what it means to live in deeper connection with ourselves, with one another, and with the Divine. These principles are not beliefs we ask others to adopt; they are the principles that guide our work and the way we walk alongside those who entrust us with their journeys.

1. The Divine Is Within.

We believe that every person carries within them an inherent connection to Source, Spirit, God, the Universe, or whatever name they give to the greater intelligence of life. Spiritual growth is not about acquiring something that is missing. It is about reconnecting with what is already present.

2. Each Person Is the Authority on Their Own Soul.

No minister, coach, teacher, institution, or spiritual tradition can determine another person's truth for them. Our role is not to prescribe what a person's life should be, but to help create the conditions in which they can hear, trust, and follow their own inner guidance.

3. Spiritual Insight Is Meant to Be Lived.

Awareness alone is not transformation. What we discover inwardly must be integrated into the choices, relationships, habits, work, boundaries, and actions of everyday life. Spirituality is not separate from living; it is expressed through living.

4. We Are Participants in Creation.

We believe that human beings participate consciously in the unfolding of their lives. Through intention, alignment, choice, action, openness, and relationship with the greater flow of life, we can manifest lives that more fully express who we are. We call this living a Fully Lit Life™.

5. There Is No Single Spiritual Path.

Souljourner Truth does not require adherence to a particular religion, theology, doctrine, or conception of the Divine. Believers, seekers, skeptics, people of established faiths, and people with no religious affiliation are welcome. The journey belongs to the individual.

6. Honest Inquiry Is Sacred.

Questions, doubt, uncertainty, curiosity, contradiction, and changing one's mind are not failures of faith. They are legitimate parts of spiritual discovery. We value honest exploration over prescribed answers and authenticity over spiritual performance.

7. The Ministerial Relationship Is a Relationship of Trust.

When a person entrusts a minister or coach of Souljourner Truth with their fears, hopes, questions, experiences, struggles, dreams, or other personal communications in confidence, we regard that trust as sacred. Confidential communications received in a ministerial capacity are to be held in confidence and protected from disclosure except with the person's authorization or where disclosure is required by applicable law or reasonably believed necessary to address an imminent risk of serious harm to that person or another.
